Rebellious Characters 


Mark Twain writes about a rebellious young boy growing up in the 1840's in his book Tom Sawyer. Tom is always disregarding consequences and challenging the edict he was expected to have. 


In the movie Tangled, Flynn Rider doesn't take orders from anyone rather he does things on his own. Throughout his journey with Rapunzel, he tricks everyone, in order to get the back the crown he stole. However, he eventually learns from the mistakes he's made and begins to make choices that will benefit everyone and becomes a more compassionate character. 

The Outsiders: a novel by S.E. Hinton that is about a teen gang in the 1960s, that are known as "Greasers" who are against "Socs". Every "greaser" goes against their "gang" related activities to help those who are in trouble. From saving children from school fires to always being there for one another. 

Robin Hood: written by Howard Pyle. Robin hood is about a fox that has very strong beliefs. He helps people, he steals from the rich to give to the poor-- he has good intentions. He wants to help society and believes the system isn't working, making him a rebel by going outside of the norms. 

Alice in Wonderland: Alice, a girl who isn't afraid to speak her mind and go out and do something. She isn't afraid to explore, she's open-minded, willing to learn, adapt, and grow. 

Lilo & Stitch: Stitch is very kind hearted yet he goes off and wonders on his own. Getting himself into trouble and resolving it at the end with Lilo.
